Employment
Mrs. Betts joined Tellatin, Short, Hansen & Clark, Inc. in September 1998. Previously, she was employed by The May Department Stores Company, a major retail department store chain, as Manager of the Consumer Research department.

Experience
Mrs. Betts entered the commercial real estate appraisal sector in September 1998. Since then, she has appraised a range of property types such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement centers, vacant land, office complexes and other miscellaneous commercial properties throughout the United States. In total Mrs. Betts has appraised over 200 seniors housing facilities. Most assignments have included an in-depth market analysis. The appraisals have functioned as support for clients in financing, litigation support, bankruptcy proceedings, and internal review.

Mrs. Betts has performed appraisals in the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Michigan, Colorado, Nevada, and California.

State Licensure
Mrs. Betts currently holds a permanent license as a general real estate appraiser in the state of Illinois as well as several other states.

Education
Mrs. Betts received her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics, from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Edwardsville, Illinois in 1992.

Mrs. Betts is working towards an MAI designation, and she has completed all but two courses offered by the Appraisal Institute in pursuit of this professional designation.
